Sárgavárre - the eastern entrance
Sárggavárre, just outside the national park, is its eastern entrance along with Suolávrre.
About the activity
The road into the park is interesting because it shows how the national park has kept the forest landscape intact. On the path en route to the national park, you pass a clear-cut area and other logging activity, after which you enter the primeval forest landscape. Sárggavárre means “the mountain with the tall straight-bole forest.”
