The little mountain homestead of Aktse is on the boundary of Sarek. Kungsleden (the King’s Trail) passes by here, and the Swedish Tourist Association (STF) has two tourist cabins that are open in the summer and up to autumn.
About the activity
From here you can hike up on Skierffe mountain or proceed farther into Sarek. Bicycling to the end of the lake and then hiking the last kilometres to Aktse makes for an excellent weekend trip.
