FAQ
Here you can find the most frequently questions and answers that we often receive.
I am looking for a job in a national park. Where can I find the available jobs?
— Each County Administrative Board is responsible for staffing and recruiting personnel for the national parks. Jobs are often advertised early in the year, around March-April. Sometimes, the available job listings are published on this website under the respective national park's pages. Most often, job listings can only be found on the County Administrative Board's website. Keep in mind that you can always contact a specific national park or County Administrative Board to show your interest spontaneously.

Can I camp in XX national park?
— Each national park has different rules when it comes to camping. Often, there are restrictions regarding where you can set up a tent. Sometimes, camping is only allowed in specifically designated areas and similar. Read more about what applies to the park you plan to visit under the node "Visitor Information" and then the page "Rest, eat and sleep".
Can I bring my dog to XX national park?
— Short answer, yes, but your dog must always be on a physical leash. For Vadvetjåkka, Abisko, Muddus/Muttos, Padjelanta/Bádjelannda, Sarek, Stora Sjöfallet/Stuor Muorkke, Pieljekaise, and Gotska Sandön national parks, there are specific rules and prohibitions for dogs. If you plan to visit these national parks with a dog, it is important that you understand the applicable rules.
Where can I buy the patches available for all national parks?
— In the nature centers (naturum) located in or near a national park, you can often purchase that national park's patch. Sometimes patches for other national parks in the county are also available for purchase. If the stock is empty or you wish to buy a patch for another park, the Nationalparkernas hus* can assist. (*Nationalparkernas hus is another name for the Naturum in Tyresta National Park). They sell patches for all national parks and can send patches to you by mail if you live far from Stockholm but still in Sweden. If you wish to order patches through them, email:
Where can I buy merchandise with the Sweden's National Parks brand?
— Currently, you can only buy our merchandise in certain nature centers, such as water bottles, gold pins, or t-shirts. Unfortunately we do not sell merchandise in any other way.
Which national parks have trails with good accessibility where a stroller or wheelchair can be used?
— All our national parks have their own information page on this website that describes the accessibility. On the accessibility pages, you can read about which places in the national park that are accessible, such as an entrance or a hiking trail. Select the national park you are interested in from the menu above, then choose the node "Visitor Information" and then the page "Accessibility" to find the information you need.
