When to visit Ängsö National Park

During early spring, when plants are leafing out, the ground in the deciduous groves glows with the white of flowering wood anemones.

If you want to experience the mass flowering of the elder-flowered orchids, you should visit Ängsö from mid-May until mid-June. Bird's eye primrose, ramsons and spring pea are also  in bloom then, and cowslip colour the meadow hillsides yellow.
