The meadow and chapel
The hayfield with its old oaks and open grassy areas is a popular retreat for small birds.
About the activity
Hundreds of greater and lesser parrot crossbills can be seen when they come to drink water from the pond in the meadow. Growing in the open areas are pasque flower, lady's bedstraw and spiked speedwell. Yew can be found in the middle and on the edges of the meadow. The meadow is maintained every year with the help of the Gotska Sandön local history association. In the chapel evening worship services are held every evening during July and August.
Time
The whole year
