Rest, eat, sleep
Welcome to use any of our facilities at Söderåsen national park
BBQ sites, tables and benches
There are several BBQ sites in the national park. Bring your own food and cook it in any of the following BBQ-sites...
In Skäralid (bring charcoal or your own wood) where the visitor centre is, in Nackapsdalen valley near Röstånga (bring charcoal or bring your own wood), at Dahlberg camp site (bring charcoal or your own wood) as well as at the Liagården camp site. At Liagården wood, axe and saw should be available.
If you do make a fire - make sure to put the fire out thoroughly before leaving the area.
You are not allowed to pick twigs, branches or other dead wood from trees or forest floor to make a fire.
You are forbidden to make a fire in any other place than the prepared and arranged fire places mentioned above in the national park.
Please note! We follow the Firedepartment Skåne's fire risk forecast.
When the risk is very high (5E) we will put up signs that there is a fire ban.
You are obligated to follow these instructions.
Please do not leave food at any rest areas in the national park. It is nice that you are thinking of the birds, but it can also atrtract other less apprecieated animals. Above all we would like to prevent the spread of African swine fever, but there are voles, mice and maybe even rats that could be attracted to the left over food by the rest areas, and picknick tables. Dispose of anything that you do not take with you when you leave the site in the bins provided.
If there are none - pleas take the rubbish home with you. Thanks.
Toilets and water
There are toilets by the Visitor Centre/naturum Söderåsen in Skäralid, at Kopparhatten, in Nackarpsdalen valley and at the Dahlberg and Liagården camp sites.
Water is available at the naturum (tap on the wall outdoors) as well as at the Dahlberg and Liagården camp sites (weather depending). There is a well - Rårödspågen’s spring along the nature trail.
Please note: Water in the wells and at the spring is not tested.
PLEASE NOTE! that during a dry and warm summer the water in our wells can dry up. There should always be water at the visitor centre in Skäralid.
Please bring your own water - just to be sure.
